On behalf of the client, a full, open tender process was conducted by Prophet Consulting, providing thorough supplier evaluation and subsequent appointment to preferred bidder status. We also advised on construction of a concession operating model and provided overall thought-leadership and momentum to drive the project from inception to final technical development. The new system was deployed on a UK based Train Operating Company (TOC) in early 2010.

Nomad Digital received a scalable, business process structure that could be replicated and expanded on additional train systems worldwide which created a new, value-added income stream from basic Wi-Fi service provision.

Graeme completed development and initial deployment of the first ever `Mobile Marketing` service for a UK Train Operating Company, Southern Railway.

The remit was to identify alternative uses of appropriate technology across the Southern network. The concept of Mobile marketing was proposed and a negotiated commercial agreement with a suitable supplier, including technical scope and facilitation requirements was delivered. Subsequent project management and stakeholder co-ordination and communication was also provided up to the launch. Prophet Consulting additionally provided on-going, pro-active supplier revenue management and a `project champion` momentum within Southern. The service was launched at London Victoria, East Croydon, London Gatwick and Brighton in July 2009.

Southern received an initial, incremental non-fare revenue stream from hosting an innovative, value-added customer service opportunity for their passengers. This concept launch was the first ever deployment for a UK-based TOC. Provision of an expansion business plan also offered the opportunity to organically grow the revenue stream with future sustainability.
